Collab diffs count equally for all people involved as [1] - so if three people collab a diff, one of which is the owner of the set, the owner gets +1 ranked set and the other two get +1 GD. It made more sense to me than having people with fractions of diffs which could get confusing later on.

Some quirky trivia facts:

1. There are now 105 people with a ranked CtB difficulty.
2. There are now over 250 ranked maps containing CtB diffs. A year ago there were only 150.
3. MBomb and CLSW are tied for most sets ranked (14) and oddly enough, also on # of GDs ranked (14).

May be best to clear up whether you're counting loved maps or not, and why/why not. Not gonna share my opinion of whether they should or not (I'm sure you can guess anyway), but yeah, just best to put that somewhere, possibly in main post.

For me loved maps shouldn't be placed here since most of maps there are actually without spread or they are single difficulties..
Anyways it feels like qualified category since mapset owner might delete it on its own request.

I did a quick survey of people yesterday and the general consensus was that Loved maps shouldn't be included here (at least for now). This might change in the future depending on how the system develops, i.e. how maps actually make it to Loved status, but for the time being with large potential for maps to be moving in and out of Loved regularly, it would be a pain to keep track of the rankings.

Congrats to Olib on becoming the 109th person to achieve a ranked difficulty, and to Hareimu on the (rather dubious) new records of ranking the difficulty and mapset with the shortest total drain time of 26 and 52 seconds (excluding spinners) respectively!

For anyone interested in seeing a more "historical" representation of osu!catch mapping, I made a new spreadsheet detailing the number of ranked diffs and mappers each year, average maps ranked per year by each mapper, number of new mappers achieving a ranked diff each year, and so on. If that kind of thing interests you, feel free to check it out here or in the OP. Feel free to leave me suggestions for extra things I can add, or stuff I may have missed!

Noticed there were a few inconsistencies when comparing this list and the chronological one, so hopefully managed to correct those as best I could. Also managed to add search for all ranked mappers, including those with only guest diffs / collabs.

All information here is 100% objective and could be found by any sufficiently motivated individual, so I see no reason to remove people. Besides, this actually draws more attention to them by virtue of their absence

For the record: this thread is purely for statistical purposes - the back/forth between myself, afb and others was obviously sarcastic and should not be taken remotely seriously.

3. There are now 200 Ranked Cup difficulties, 250 Ranked Salad and Platter difficulties, and 300 Ranked Rains
4. 51 different people have landed a Ranked difficulty so far in 2018 - this is the same number as all of 2017

If my calculations are correct (and they're probably not but I'm going to pretend they are anyway), Spec's Gensou no Satellite marks 1500 Ranked osu!catch difficulties.

When I started recording these statistics in late 2015 there were a little over 400. That leaves us with roughly 1100 difficulties reaching Ranked in the years of 2016-present, and around 500 of those (almost half!) occurring since the start of this year.

That's pretty cool I guess.

You should make at least one diff for a specific diff which is o!ctb. Converts just doesn't count for this ranking.

Sorry friend, I'm just one man and a lot of extremely inefficient processes - including converts is not even close to being a realistic proposition for me so I chose to just focus on catch specific maps.

Big update this month since I've been rather busy and unable to keep up. Lots of movement, so congrats and thanks to everyone working hard to bring more great content to the Ranked section! 2018 has already blown all previous years' records out of the water, so keep up the good work! (:

Please let me know if there are any errors or inconsistencies, since there were so many maps it's likely something errant sneaked in somewhere.

Updated the ranking thingimybobs once again, kudos(u) to Error- and IDu5t on their first Ranked difficulties /o/ /o/ /o/ /o/

Also a minor QoL tweak on the spreadsheet, since I worked out how to INDEX/MATCH with multiple criteria, the highest annual rank count and best breakout year columns now display the mappers who actually achieved those things, instead of just a random number drifting through the statistic aether. So yeah, that's pretty nifty I would say.

Side note, we're approaching 700 Ranked contributions for 2018 which would be double the number achieved in 2017 and that's rather awesome. Great work everyone <3
