im about to hit 200 hours and im 35k on osu mania and i struggle with speed and get low acc on most mid 4- 5 star maps. i feel like my progress is significantly worse than the average player. someone please give advice. my mental is fried

I mean, I'm also rank 35k and have 100 hours, if that makes you feel any better. Half the amount of hours for the same rank, yea? no?

Looking at your profile...
1. I will never understand how people can do 1000+ plays in a month holy flip how did you do 4000+
2. Looking at recent plays and top plays, I do think you're at a time to work on accuracy. 96s and 97s on low 4* is... fine. Realistically I can't say it's terrible, but if it were up to me I'd be trying to get over 98.5% on them. Plus these seem to be stream maps mainly with the lower accuracy.
3. I'm also guessing you took some time off, which... welcome to the club (just look at my rank decline lol, specifically the days it's been declining for)

So I don't think you're cooked, at least not as much as I am if you want to do a "how cooked am I" comparison. But I think give or take a few days, you'll sur yourself again soon.

If you're worried about accuracy, I'd honestly put hard rock on some songs. I loved putting hard rock on for stream songs I could manage like Light It Up to simply gain consistency. If you're worried about getting accuracy on higher star maps, idk how to describe it but it simply just comes the more you play harder but still manageable stuff. 93s turn to 94s then into 95s in the span of about 2 weeks.
Idk if this helps, but I would also put hidden on for 3* songs and watch as I progressively start tapping earlier and earlier until I miss or hit a string of bads and oks (it requires effort when you're not using a fast notespeed lol). Main thing about hidden is that once I took it off, it just felt easier to hit notes since I was actually seeing them but with the same focus that I was using when reading them with hidden on.

If pp is your concern, a bunch of ranked maps and play them all, and perhaps look at the profiles of what other ppl play for pp and see if you can play those/what you can play.

just spend time training, trust me

spending a lot of time farming will just waste ur time, u need to spend more time working on skillsets. i recommend practicing jack map packs because at your rank chordjack maps become THE skillset to farm the fuck out of

also you can look at other players with similar rank to look for new maps to farm

if you want improvement i highly recommend running maps out of your skill level so your fingers can adjust to harder patterns

you can actually incapacitate 2 birds with a singular erosion formed object by learning LN

if you play on scoreV2 where i think release amd start are 2 seperate judgement not averaged together (iirc, im on lazer not table) then learning LN should help accuracy and LNs are cool as they can boost SR amd thus the peppy points on a singular beatmap

to learn LN, start out with really easy release LN if thats even on 4k (i play 6k idk) and thrn like slowly build up from that. release LN will make you try hit as best MA as posible which will help in regular plays and youll also hhave less issue with LN which could contribute to some issues in normal play. play a good lot of inverse too to get used to holding down and finally just some normal LN. just an idea tho
