i swear it is meant to be like IMPOSSIBLE to encounter a skill wall despite playing a variety of charts so idk what the fuck i did to do this. im 6k [16] level player with 35 [16] S ranks yet i just cant seem to do [17]s? its hella weird. anyways, incase youre not a 6k main, a [16] is roughly like 6.2 or 6.3 star difficulty and a [17] is probably between 6.6 -> 7 star idk for sure im not [17] level. if you dont trust me with my difficulty SR approximations lmk but this is just what feels correct. i only have 3 [17] S ranks and 33 A ranks. on every session i warm up and spend like an hour doing 1 or 2 attempts on various songs either [16] or [17]

also if this means i just hit my physical limit and i am physically unable to progress in skill lmk, i might go to 7k if i feel like it, maybe try 8k

Nah, it's not physical limit, thats just cope. It's a skill issue. As for what the skill issue is, idk.

There's more than one way to improve that isn't being able to S rank harder maps. Try something new i guess??? Get FC's on progressively harder maps to improve consistency? Get the ever elusive SS rank cause it looks cool? HT harder songs to see harder patterns but slow? DT easier songs to get used to high bpm fast play?

S ranks have always worked for me so i had no reason to deviate from them. i domt get why FCs help consistency so pls explain. anyways do you think SSing 2 stars would be helpful for me? maybe lower end 3 stars if im lucky😭 theres only 1 4 star chart i think i can SS and i got a 5MA 4 greats attempt on it during warmup so maybe ill try SS it. HT no point, DT ill consider

FC's are a fun to aim for so I mentioned it, not strictly nessesary, its just a tool that can be utilized.

To my knowledge, consistency is mostly about being consistent (obviously), so you don't have any random hiccups in your play. You don't randomly drop combo on a pattern you should be able to hit. Nor do you drop acc in the middle of song when you should be able to get good acc on it.
