firstly get a good skin, then jusy play 7k. focus on S ranks. you can also try play 6k map packs by _icerain since theyre really REALLY good for improvement so itll pribably help out 7k, and the packs are fun, if yoy do map packs then make sure to follow the number in brackets and not SR, SR only really tells you note density
The best way to get into 7K is to take it slow and not rush yourself too much. Coming from 4K, even in my own experience, it felt super awkward at first, especially with that extra middle key and having to use fingers you’re not really used to. Which is completely normal.
Firstly, I would highly suggest to start with lower diff maps, like around 1-3 stars, and just focus on getting comfortable with the layout. Also, keep in mind that the SR can get a bit wonky after 3 stars in 7K, so it’s probably best to focus on those lower difficulties first. Don't worry about scoring well or FC'ing anything, early on it's more about building muscle memory and learning how to read the patterns.
It also helps to play in short sessions consistently rather than grinding for hours. Even like 30-40 minutes a day goes a long way. Over time, your hands and brain just start to "get it." And if it ever feels overwhelming, you can play a bit of 6K, there's no harm in doing so.

if you do try 6k then please play the map packs with difficulty numbers since they are so amazing for improvement honestly. LN release charts feel basically thr same as normal LN to me purely because of map packs, it got me past 2 big skills walls and theyre just really fun as its not the charting youd see in ranked maps later on, youll see various brackets and hybrid and even short bursts of vibro in some chartsketiph wrote: 1mia

it depends on skin but start on lower scroll speed. on my skin i normally use 28 (30 at the time) and i went to 24 starting out. a good speed is where you have the time to CONCIOUSLY hit notes, and slowly increase speed as it becomes more muscle memoryEs Teh wrote: 6bt3j

From my experience, I'd keep it fairly low when starting out, so you have plenty time to react. Then increase it as you get comfortable with 7k.
E.g.
I had ~12 when I first started learning 10k and bumped it up as I got comfortable at 10k. It at about ~21 now.
Most importantly and after all that is done, play 7k consistently!! Not too long tho, 1-2 hours is enough usually

i can confirm this, i dont enjoy 7k and cant learn well even if im a 6k main (i cam barely S rank 4.0 stars in 7k but i S ranked a 6k 6.45 star and 6.2Gamesnake7 wrote: 594i6e

I started 7k like 3 months ago and i learned it pretty fast, id recommend playing bms converts/o2jam converts and finding a skin and scroll speed you like and sticking to it. You could also start playing bms on beatoraja to get better at rice and play o2jam get better at LN.Es Teh wrote: 6bt3j

do you guys have 7k map packs, if so can i have them?
from what ive seen there arent many map packs for 7k for beginner. there is a few, main one i know being the giant ass piano pack with a bazillion charts. just search ranked and try your best to learn LN along the way. i cant really say much about 7k beginner as im a certified 6kEs Teh wrote: 6bt3j
