Need some potential tips for learning how to read in taiko,

id say im pretty solid at mania and i think i could be strong in taiko, and always wanted to play it, however i find whenever i try to play it even though i know that i should having played mania i can never seem to read correctly, im either looking at the notes individually and getting motion sick, or attempting to keep my eyes locked and getting lost,

im always used to having a combo counter to fixate on and was wondering if there was a similar alternative for taiko, or if there are any tips at all for trying to read, ATP im thinking of just changing my monitor to portrait ToT

i also try taiko and i read in sorta like chunks. i recognize a pattern and hit it, no lock fixate eye

i imagine i hit the patterns and use rate changes if needed
if i can read it slower, i can read it faster

that's all i do for taiko, i dont think about eye placement much

watching taiko replays and seeing which buttons they press are good for learning patterns

I'm trying to get used to reading notes by using Hard Rock in low diff and I think it helps a lot and also improvises your accuracy.
