July 2nd & July 10th 2024 update rationale
  1. Requests for tournament/contest official (under which news posts fall under) need to be requested at least a month in advance. This allows to schedule them in advance and help with preparations and to manage any internal process required to approve the requested news posts.
  2. Defined expectations on what the news posts should cover. The hosts and/or s responsible for the news post must make sure these expectations are followed for the posts to be approved and reviewed in a timely manner.
  3. Contests NOT eligible for contest points can still request for news post coverage. The contests would still need to comply with the Official criteria to be eligible for a news post.
  4. Badges will never be approved until after the conclusion of the contest. These must be requested at most two months since the conclusion of a contest.

September 12th update rationale
  1. Standard deviation is now required to determine final scores. This ensures that a contest results will have a fair outcome, and that one judge's score will not disproportionately affect the end results. Exceptions will need to be emailed via [email protected] and discussed by the Contest Committee.
  2. Prospective looking to the team must apply via email. The committee will hold an in-depth discussion on all applicants following the usual procedure. s cannot be invited by any other means, and must send an email on their own accord.

September 30th update rationale
  1. Restricted s cannot be staff in contests looking for official . While this was implicitly enforced, there was no explicit rule akin to the tournament guidelines. This update simply states that rule explicitly for hosts to be aware of the rule as enforced.

March 13th 2025 update rationale
  1. The report form must be clearly visible. Players must be informed where to report issues with a contest, just like Tournaments have been doing so far.
  2. Hosts are responsible for moderating their judges' comments. After reviewing many contests, we've seen an upwards trend of judges comments stepping out of line. This leaves a very bad image on the contest as well as not providing s with any meaningful in their submissions. While comments are not compulsory, in the case they're added, they should offer value to the player.
  3. Screening s must be formed by at least 4 s. Follows the same rationale as to why judging s need of 4 judges.
  4. Tournament banned players can't participate in officially ed contests. This was already being enforced prior to this clarification being made. There is no difference between a Tournament ban and a Contest ban. Both are the same thing and impose the same restrictions.
  5. Added basic Expectations to follow, besides the already established Eligibility criteria. Parity with the Tournament official page. Both groups are held to the same basic expectations.
