Ok accidentally deleted the information but whatever.

Brief overview:

So you guess the word based on the audio, with the word itself and an example sentence. Then you put the guesses in the above form.

1 weekly win = 1 tokens.
Runner-up = 0.67 tokens.
3rd place = 0.33 tokens.

Perfect round (100/100) = 3 extra tokens.

1 token = 1 USD (only for er, I'd love to do other stuff but I can't)

2 tokens = Avatar GFX edit

You can give the tokens or tag to someone else.

Each word is worth 1~2 points depending on how many people get it right, and 1 point bonus for closest guess if no one guesses something.

Please don't look up the words while you do this for fairness, nor discuss answers with other people publicly before the answers are out.

Answers are released on the following week.

That's about all you need to know lol. If you have questions just ask.

Yeah that one was a failure. This one should be much more reasonable and stable though. Plus it's weekly so way way easier to maintain.

Any form of collecting is prone to autocorrect. Plus some of them are still very hard even with autocorrect.

I have a limited character bandwidth for the TTS. Besides, I tried to keep the accents more even, and it doesn't seem to be causing problems with recognizing the words.

I'll do a poll maybe though to see what accents people prefer.

At first I thought it was too easy (assuming I got the first few right) then some seemed impossible so I guess it's fine

If I had to choose an accent to do it would be either british or american. Australian english is not going to reflect the vowels correctly, imo.

try either uk reporter accent, queens english or an american reporter accent

Hmm yes. Though I don't think the TTS program s that lol. I could try to do the audio myself or gaslight someone else into doing it later on.

But for the time being, maybe I'll stick to only using the British accents since the General American TTS randomly omits ending consonants.

Regarding future events, I'm planning on this:

1. Expanding total word count to 15, with 3 categories of (assumed) difficulty level, and removing perfect round bonus (I doubt anyone will ever get that);

2. Increasing the point value of each word from 1~2 to 5~10, following formula:

wordValue = 10 - 5 * correctGuess / totalGuess

3. Adding an accuracy attribute to each guess, calculated through comparing letters in the guess in order with the answer, counting the number of correct letters and dividing by the total number of letters.

Example:

Answer: Individual

Example guess: Indefidal

Incorrect letters marked in brackets: Ind(ef)id()al

Accuracy: 7/10 = 0.7

4. Adding an extra point category for incorrect guesses:

wrongValue = wordValue * (1 - averageAccuracy)

The amount of points for granted for an incorrect guess is determined as follows:

wrongPoints = wrongValue *(accuracy ** 2)
