I woke up, my whole body was in intense pain, just what had happened to me? Oh right I , the Padoru came for me after I insulted their power, was I now in the afterlife? I openened up my eyes and realised that I was in a jail cell.

So I had been kidnapped after being beaten up by them, that is not a good situation. I didn't know what was gonna happen to me in that jail but I knew that if I stayed here for long it wouldn't end well.

If someone is looking for some e̶͙͋g̶̬̀̚g̴͙͋ than they shall find it at imgur DasCdkU

I looked around my cell to see if I could find something to help me escape. The only appliance I could find was a tiny bed, other than that there was a trap covering up for a small hole, probably the toilet. I had no window and the door of my cell only had a tiny opening at the very top and it was impossible to see anything substantial through it. It didn't look like there was a lot I could do to escape.

I felt like laying on my bed to think of more ways to escape and realised the bed was freezing cold. The bed was in the back-right corner of the cell and the whole back of the cell was far colder than the rest of the cell. I touched the stone wall at the back of the cell and sure enough, it was incredibly cold, much colder than even the iron door. There had to be something behind this wall that was cooling it down, hopefully it was the outside world.

As I continued to investigate, I head the door of my cell open.

They came for me. What were they gonna do to me...

Once again I woke up in the same cell, but this time, I knew where I was.

Yesterday, the Padoru came for me and made me go with them. I was incredibly scared, I feared where they would take me and what they would do to me. As I left my cell, I tried to gather as much information on my environement as possible. My cell was amoung a thin and long corridor that had cell on either sides. There was nothing too special about the place. The Padoru made me advance in the corridor, they unlocked the door that was guarding the end and revealed a staircase. From the staircase, I could deduce my cell was on the fourth floor of a 8 floor prison, this information could definitely be handy.

The Padoru took me up the staircase onto the 6'th floor of the prison. There they guided me towards a large wood workshop, they assigned me to a desk and asked me to carve a hundred Padoru figure by the end of the day or else something unpleasent would befall me. There were around 40 other cellmate in the room as well as 10 Padoru keeping an eye on us. By the end of the day I was able to carve 121 Padoru figure so I was safe. 3 cellmate didn't achieve their quota and were taken somewhere else. The rest of us were taken back to our cell.

I was now back in my cell but this time, I had more option. I was able to sneakily bring a few piece of wood as well as a small carving nice from the workshop. Thankfully the guard didn't search anyone and didn't count the amount of material still left in the workshop, if they had done that I would have been found out immidietaly.

I hid my item under my bed and waited. Before I start working on something to escape, I want to know when the guard will come look up on me. If they find me with this I'll be dead for sure. I waited and noticed that they looked up on me two times before curfew, both time being two hours apart and then looked up on me only one time after the curfew, which was exactly at midnight. That should leave me a bit of time to work on my escape.

Now let's get back to today. Once again, I didn't want to do anything before I know when they will look up on me. They only looked on me one time, which was on the morning when they brang my breakfast. Then once again, they went to pick me up and lead me to the workshop again...

A new day had now begun, however, I was now able to begin my escape.

Yesterday, when the Padoru came to get me to the workshop. They lead me to a different workshop. Instead of taking me up to the 6th floor they took me down to the 2nd floor. The workshop was for stone carving this time and once again, we had a quota of 100 Padoru stone figure to achieve by the end of the day.

The day went past but at around noon, 4 cellmate tried to ambush a Padoru that was ing in between them. 3 of them tried to imobilize the Padoru while the last one held up his hammer and his chisel ready to strike the Padoru. It didn't take long for the Padoru to start glowing and to throw all 4 of these guys at tremendous speed. I had always been wondering how the Padoru could be so powerful, they were so small that I didn't think their muscle could achieve such feats. During this fight, I could see the Padoru consume a sort of sparkling dust. Plus, I can seeing the same dust when the Padoru came to kidnap me. If we were able to take away this dust frmo them, perhaps we would be able to beat them.

By the end of the day, I had achieved my quota and went back to my cell. I was able to bring my hammer, chisel and a few stone to my cell. I now had 2 hours before the first check up by the Padoru. I had decided that my escape would be made by breaking through the wall. Both of the workshop I had gone to had windows and I was able to see that behind this wall was the outside world. The issue with my escape is that I was on the 4th floor, so I will have to find something to descend.

I was able to get a bit of breaking done before the first check up, now two hours before the second one. Once again, I was able to get some good work done and then the second checkup came. I was really surprised at how poor these check-up were. If they tried to inspect my cell they would immediatly find out about the hole I am digging and the material I had stolen. I continued to work after the second check-up. I was free until the midnight check in 4 hours. After 3 more hours of digging, I was able to pierce a small opening in the wall. I decided to go to bed and to expend on it tommorow.

And we are now back to today, the night yesterday had been terrible because of all of my work, my body was aching. Also, the hole that I made let the freezing cold air of the outside into the room, hopefully the Padoru don't notice that and check on my cell to see why.

The Padoru once again took me to some other place of the jail.
You cannot escape the Padoru. Many have tried and all have failed - except one... they became the Padoru!

This time, the Padoru took me all the way down to the first floor of the jail. They first took me to the shower. A shower was certainly welcome seeing as I haven't had one since I came here 3 days ago, the same must have been true of all of my cellmate considering the horrible oddor I could smell when we were all cramped in the workshop.

Once that was done, they took me to the laundry, gave me a huge pile of clothes and asked me to clean all of them by the end of the day. This task was most welcome to me, as if I stole these clothes I could tie them to make a rope and escape from the 4th floor. As with the last two times, the Padoru didn't check on me. I am getting a bit anxious about how easy it is to steal item from the jail. It isn't even hard, it's not like I am good at sneakily taking out item, I have made a few mistake and they should have noticed at least one of them.

Once I got back to my cell, I went back to making my hole in the wall. After another 4 hours of digging, it was large enough for me to through. I checked outside and the outside was just a simple courtyard with a fence. I knew how to get down there but I didn't know how to go through the fence. Climbing over it didn't seem possible, the fence was very high and at the top was put at an angle and had barbed wire.

I thought of digging under it but the ground must be darn frozen, it must be -40 degree outside. I still didn't know what I was going to do about the temperature so that another thing to figure out.

Before going to sleep, I tied the rope I was gonna use to escape, now all I had to think about was how to get through the fence and how to deal with the cold.

Morning came and the Padoru took me somewhere once again...
-40 deg is definitely a canada thing

Today, the assignment I was given was to stuff Padoru doll with a fur like substance. I was working quietly when I noticed a cellmate casually walking out of the workshop. I expected the Padoru to stop him and to take him wherever they took people who opposed them but they did not even react. One Padoru was clearly looking straight at him and didn't do anything to stop him or alert the other Padoru. How could this be? A cellmate just walked out, how could the Padoru let him go like that. I thought back to everything I stole in the past few days, it wasn't too ahrd to notice my stealing even if I tried to hide it as much as possible, and the hole I made in my cell's wall is quite easy to see as well even if I tried to hide it with my bed.

It is likely that the Padoru don't mind me stealing all of these item from them.

I continued to work until I met my quota for the day. There was still 30 minutes left to our day at that point but I tried doing something risky. I took a whole bug of stuffing and left for my cell. This was a gamble to see if the Padoru truly don't care about cellmate leaving the place and taking item with them. I was extremely anxious when walking out the door, but thankfully they let me go without raising an eyebrow.

I went back to my cell with all of the stuffing. The first thing I did was to make a cloak. To do that, I put the stuffing I had just stolen from the jail inside of the clothes I had stolen yesterday. It wasn't pretty but I managed to stuff it tight enough between two shirt that it can hold itself. I did the same for pants, shoes and toque. I hoped the equipement would be good enough to at least the cold for a few hours.

Now that I had something to fight the harsh winter, all I needed was someway to the fence. I also figured I should make myself some tool before going, just in case I need them.

I used the wood and stone I had to make an axe, a pickaxe, and a spear. With this I should be able to defend myself against the wilderness and gather material if I ever needed to during my escape.

Hopefully, tommorow the Padoru will take me somewhere where I can gather items to this fence.

Today's assignment was once again wood carving. This is unfortunate, I was hoping I'd get new item to easily the fence. While working I tried to think about ways of ing the fence but to no avail.

When I went back to my cell, I looked through the hole I had made. I noticed a large truck exiting the jail. That makes sense, this jail seems to be making tons of different Padoru based toy so they need a lot of material. I though it might be possible to sneak inside of one of these truck before it moves out.

This idea would work but was extremely risky. The hole doesn't allow me a large field of view, I have no idea where the truck are stationned before leaving, if that place is well guarded I won't be able to sneak inside of a one. Plus, if I do go down, there is no way I can get back up to my cell, so I have to succeed in my first attempt. Despite the risk, I thought it was the best solution. I want to be home for christmass and I have no idea how long the way back home will be if I do manage to escape, so leaving as early as possible was a must.

I tied my rope to my bed, took all the item I have made and went down the rope. I was very scared that the rope would break, I made sure that all the nod between the clothes that makes up the rope were as tight as possible but when your life depends on it it's hard to fully trust your material. I slowly headed down and let out a sight of relief when my feet touched the snow on the ground.

I went to where the truck were coming from. I saw a few truck all stationned next to one another, they looked like they were waiting for something to leave. I checked for Padoru but didn't see any. I went to on of the truck and checked if I could enter it. Fortunately for me, it's trailer's door wasn't locked, so I was able to get in. The inside was mostly empty, there were only a few boxes in the back, which were also empty. I hid inside a box and hoped that there would be no inspection. I waited for maybe an hour until I felt the truck rumble and move.

There I was, I had escaped the jail, now all I have to do is exit the truck without being seen...
sam did it you guys

I had been riding this truck for quite a few hours now. This whole time I had been scared about where the truck would end up. If the truck just went to a Padoru supply wharehouse, then I'd be found out and would be put back in jail or even be killed. I thought that the best course of action was to leave the truck before it stopped on it's own.

I went to the back of the truck and used my pickaxe to break the lock of the truck. It took me a good 20 minutes of hitting but the driver couldn't hear anything because the noise made by the engine was much louder than my hitting of the lock. I opponed the door and looked outside to see if there was a way to leave the truck while it is still moving. The good thing was the we were in a forst, so I didn't have to worry about witness finding me out. There was a lot of snow around me, and the driver wasn't going so fast so maybe if I jumped into the snow next to the road, I could escape without too much harm.

I took a big breath and jumped as far as I could towards the snow. I took quite a strong shock from the fall but the snow was fresh and very thick so it slowed my fall considerably before hitting the ground. It took me a few second to stand up. Now I was in the forest and had no idea where I was, but at least I wasn't in anyone's custody, all I had to do now was reach a city and find my way back home.

I started to walk next to the road, assuming that it lead somewhere with a population that could help me. If it lead to an isolated Padoru factory though I'd have wasted a lot of energy walking. I tried to walk from within the forest, that way the coming truck wouldn't see me, it would be an issue if a Padoru recognized me. I walked for a few hours and couldn't see a destination yet. The sun was soon to set, I knew I'd have to sleep here outside in the snow, so I started working on making a rudimentary shelter.

I started by cutting many small tree and made a sort of floor to sleep on, this way I wouldn't get wet from sleeping on the snow. I made the shelter next to a natural cliff, so I had only one side to worry of. I cut a big tree in a way that it would fall on the cliff and provide protection. I was a bit careless, the tree almost destroyed the cliff when it fell, thankfully that didn't happen but I'd have to be more careful from now on. I placed a 5 other tree and then started to fill in the gap between each tree but using thick coniferous tree. My shelter was not perfect but it would do the job.

Now I needed a fire before the sun set. I dug out a small area inside the cliff so I can put the fire there safely without burning everything. I used some wood stick to try to make a fire. It took me a good hour but I finally managed to make one.

I looked outside and saw that I still had a bit of time left before sunset, so I tried to find some food. I was able to find a dear. I slowly approached it and then threw my spear right in it's flank. The dear fell over and I finished it with a slice of my axe to it's throat. I went back to my shelter and started to cook everything edible about the dear. My wood carving knife wasn't so good at slicing the meat but that's all I had. Now I had a good amount of food for the reminder of my travel. I ate a bit of meat and went to sleep next to the fireplace to keep me warm.

I woke up inside of my little shelter, it was now time to go. I took all of my tool with me as well as the meat I had cooked yesterday. I continued to walk next to the road. After 3 hours of walk, I saw a a smnall city in the distance. I continued to walk for another hour and I finally reached it.

I entered the city and looked for the police departement, hopefully they would be to help me. I didn't see anyone in the street which surprised me, so I kept walking to find a police departement. An hour ed and I still haven't found the police departement, nor any citizen for that matter. However, I did see a factory with smoke coming out on the edge of the city. I went there to check it out and as I looked at it from behind the fence, I saw a truck coming in. The trailer was open so I was able to see what was inside.

...

...

Why as the truck transporting that?

...

...

...

I must have been dreaming, yes that's it.

...

...

...

No

Their cries can't be unheard.
Their cries can't be ignored.
Their cries can't be forgotten.

What the truck was transporting...

Were human childs.

I didn't know what was happening in the factory, but the distress from these innocent child reached more. I could not call myself human if I didn't try to save them.

The fence stopped at the railroad, were only a roadblock prevents vehicule form entering, pedestrian can enter without any problem though there are no tressing sign. I entered and headed straight to the factory. As I entered, I followed a sign directing me to the control room. When I got there, 3 Padoru were opperating it.

What could I do? I know that the Padoru were far too powerful for anyone to handle. I wanted to save these innocent child but how could I fight against the Padoru. It's easy really. There is one power stronger than even the Padoru. Of course, that is the power of PROTECC. I threw my spear on the first Padoru, who thought could cath it, it was their last mistake, as the spear went straight through their hand and into their chest, were it pierced their heart. I then ran towards the first one. It tried to hit me, but my axe was faster, in a single strike, their head had fallen off. The last one seemed scared. How ironic, the one I had been fearing for so long was now scared of me. It opponed a bottle of sparkling dust and coverded itself in it. The Padoru was now glowing and I knew it was much more powerful that it previously was. After all, I had deduced that this dust was their power source when I was back in my jail.

The Padoru ran straight at me, I could not move my axe fast enough, so I tried to kick them. The shock my leg had to endure was incredible, but I was still on my two feet. I tried to strike it with my axe but it fell down to the ground to avoid it and then punched me in the stomach, propulsing me to the wall. How much did it hurt. I couldn't breath anymore. My back had been destroyed from hitting the wall. But I couldn't give up. I got back on my feet, and got ready for the next attack. The Padoru confidently jumped at me, thinking I was too wounded to pose a threat anymore. Wrong. I threw my pickaxe straight at it. Being in the air, the Padoru could not avoid it. Before the pickaxe even hit the Padoru, I jumped toward the Padoru myself. The pickaxe hit the Padoru in the face and then I followed with a powerful strike of my axe that cut the Padoru in half.

I now had the control room in my position. I could see the large engine in the middle of the room. This was the engine creating the dust that the Padoru used to become so powerful. The dust was created by innocent child. I stopped the engine. I then got down to the supply room, taking down all the Padoru in my sight. I liberated the child that had been kidnapped to be transformed in dust and then left the factory.

All of the adult were locked inside their house, afraid of the Padoru, but now they didn't have anything to fear. Still wounded, I laid on a bed that a citizen had given me out of grattitude and fell asleep. How great of a christmass was this, just seeing the happy face of all of these children is the best gift I could ever have.
